Rural areas may experience slower speeds or even drop to 3G connectivity. India's 5G rollout is expanding rapidly in major cities, so speeds continue to improve. Note that during peak hours in congested urban zones, you may see temporary speed reductions. 

Yes – with plans up to 20GB, you’ll have enough data for video conferences, emails, cloud applications, and staying connected across multiple cities.   Major business hubs like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Chennai have excellent 4G/5G coverage with reliable speeds. And if you’re ever without Wi-Fi, you can use your eSIM as a hotspot connect your laptop for work on the go. If your data runs out, you can easily buy top-ups through our website or the Vodafone Travel eSIM app.   Log into your account, select your active eSIM, and choose a top-up package. Top-ups are processed quickly with a confirmation email.  So you’re not taken by surprise, you can monitor your usage in real-time through your device’s settings or the Vodafone app, which sends notifications when you’ve reached 80% and 100% of your data allowance. 

Yes – our eSIM works in popular Indian tourist destinations.   This includes beaches in Goa, Rajasthan palaces (Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur), Kerala backwaters, Agra (Taj Mahal), Varanasi, Rishikesh, and other major tourist sites. Hill stations like Shimla, Manali, and Darjeeling generally have coverage in town centres. However, very remote trekking areas, deep forests, or isolated mountain regions may have limited connectivity.
